- YL> Hi Doug,
-
- Hi Magnus,
-
- YL> I thought that this message were quite funny. :-)))
- YL> We not inlcude an "Rampage" mode in Bad Mood? Climbing the
- YL> walls and jump down on the monsters below. :-)))))
-
- Seems like a good idea, if maybe a bit hard to pull off accurately. It's
- hard enough to land on small, stationary platforms you can see - never mind
- even smaller, heavily armed, moving ones that are miles below. THAT could
- be seriously difficult - unless you had a kind of docking-computer, where
- your feet dock with your enemy's head!
-
-
- :)
-
- Apart from this, it's deviating a lot from Doom's AI, since in Doom the
- collision detection is simple, 2D plan-view stuff - rather than real 3D
- checking. You can't pass over or under enemies in Doom. Try walking under a
- floating monster - it's like hitting a brick wall.
-
-
- If people don't mind doing the extra work needed for real collision
- detection, then I suppose it's a good idea.

-
- Doug.
